Our Church Vision Our vision is to be a Christian community that welcomes all people, celebrates and proclaims God's love, develops followers of Jesus Christ and serves our community and the world. The United Methodist Church is a 12.3-million-strong global church that opens hearts, minds and doors through active engagement with our world. Read more about the church’s mission statement. John Wesley and the early Methodists placed a primary emphasis on Christian living and in putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today. Open Door Churches
